I created the Settlement scenes for the: Dra'an, Kreel, Numanz, Ulfir, Rattlers and Withered.
Using a combination of Gaias shaders and props and custom props created by the Galestorm Team; alongside Gaia's procedural generation tools to create the various enviorments and terrains, creating custom materials in Substance Designer for the pathways and roads around the settlements.
These were generated with placement of any building in any building location (except the HQ), with all settlements buildings pointing towards the HQ, scene's were designed to their specific species environments. And designed to be viewed in changing day/night lighting cycles.
I created a real-world-time day/night system, matching the players system time to the sun in the world, with a sun object which blended night-time to day-time colour and intensity, with adjustable dawn and dusk, as well as rise, set and sun direction angle variables. All settlements then used this system with varied settings to create a real-time world lighting consistent across settlements.
